The MXS 5.0 Test & Charge takes CTEK’s proven 8-step smart charger and adds a built-in testing function, so you can check not just the battery but the whole charging system before you ride. Three test programs read battery voltage, cranking/start power, and alternator performance — giving you a complete picture of battery and vehicle charging health, and telling you whether a weak start is the battery or the charging system.

As a charger it’s everything the MXS 5.0 is: fully automatic “connect and forget” operation, a patented desulphation program, a Recond mode that restores deeply discharged batteries, a cold-weather program, and patented float/pulse maintenance for safe long-term connection.
